Ronald “Butch” White
May 1941

Butch was born May 28, 2941 to Edgar & Pauline White in Hyannis, Nebraska. He has 4 brothers, Bernie, Bill, Tom & Eddie. He married Charlain Ferguson on October 7, 1962. They had 2 children, Ronda & K.C. He has worked on sever ranches such as Shadbolt Cattle Company for Jack Lowe and currently is working Black Ranches, Inc., both of which are located in the Sandhills. He worked for Shadbolt Cattle Company for 28 years. On these ranches, he did many jobs including calving, fencing. haying, fall cattle work and feeding cows in the winter. He used a tractor some, but mostly he like using his work horses to feed in the winter time and would also use them some in the summer in the hayfield on a stacker and sweeping. He enjoys working with workhorses from start to finish. Whenever he can do something on horseback, that’s the way he does it.

Butch was Nebraska State Rodeo Association Champion Team Roping Heeler in 1973 and 1976. In 1978, he was PRCA Circuit Champion Team Roping Heeler.

Butch will not give up the ranch life until he just cannot do it anymore.
