Clarence Correll

December 7, 1927

Clarence was born December 7, 1927 (Pearl Harbor Day) to Frank and Eva Correll in Wallace, Nebraska. He has 3 brothers and 1 sister. Clarence married Evelyn McClain on August 29, 1954. In those 61 years of marriage, they’ve had 5 children who in turn have blessed them with 21 grandkids and 11 great grandkids&helip;.totaling 41 in all. Clarence was in the Air Force during the Korean War, has worked on several ranches and was a brand inspector for 30 years. Since retiring from the brand committee, he has kept busy working at the sale barn working cattle, roping, golfing and keeping up with the family.

Clarence has been involved with western culture all his life. From helping with the family ranch, working on difference ranches, training horses (including cutting horses), helping his 5 kids learn how to ride and rope, work cattle, and become involved with this great life. He helped countless others with 4-H learning how to rope and so on. During all the high school rodeos, you could find him letting stock out, pulling the barrier, doing whatever needed to be done at the roping chutes, then over to the bucking chutes to pull flank straps. He helped out his youngest with the National High School Rodeo in Gillette, Wyoming, each year it was held there. Not only was Clarence a great leader in the arena but also in life helping mold the lives of many young people.

Clarence has won several buckles, saddles, tack, etc. rodeoing – mainly roping. He’s held several positions and been on difference committees for 4-H, high school rodeo and ropings. Special honor would be being a veteran of our great country.
