When I think of a Cowboy, I think of my Great Uncle Hank Dubs. He was what cowboys used to be. He was a rancher, put on rodeos when he was younger, was always on a horse for all cattle work, and his word was gospel. He was always at the ready to help his neighbors and the South of Ashby community. He spent all his life living the cowboy way and personified the image. He would also take time to teach the younger kids what he had learned over his years, hoping that they would take this information and continue on in the footsteps that he and others had started. This is why I think he should be included in the Nebraska Sandhills Cowboy Hall of Fame.
